Meet The Designers

SOFIA ARRIBAS

After studying and training as an architect, Sofia launches her first Sophie et Voilà collection in 2010. A quote of Le Corbusier identifies her inspiration: "I prefer drawing rather than talking because drawing cannot lie. It is much more honest, what you see, what is drawn is what there is. A line is a line, a curve is a curve, and there you cannot fool anyone" . She has won the Best Emerging Bridal Designer at the Elle bridal awards in 2018 and listed by Brides.com as one of the 8 Designers you should definitely know.

DONATELLE GODART

Graduated from a Parisian design school, Donatelle started as a stylist in various fashion magazines. She refines her sense of aesthetics and perfects her look over the seasons and trends, which she has learned to grasp. It is from drawing her very own dress that she first  had the idea to create her line of wedding dresses Donatelle Godart Paris. Donatelle loves the island of Ponza and she has chosen Merry Me  as her only stockist in Italy.

Graduated and specialized in Fashion, Textile and Haute Couture design between Budapest and Paris, Anita founded Daalarna Couture in 2002. After 11 successful years on the Hungarian market, she introduced the brand internationally. A mother of three, Anita was awarded as Glamour Women of the Year 2013 in the category "Best Fashion Designer" and she has chosen Merry Me as her only stockist in Italy.

ANITA BENES

CAROLINA OTADUY

Born in San Sebastian, Carolina travelled around the world and lived in New York, where in a summer night on a rooftop bar she came up with the idea to launch her own bridal fashion firm. She launched Otaduy in 2011, after studying advertising and working for an indie music producer for years. She loves music, surfing and yoga, nature and the beating hearts of cities, and her designs, like her, are full of nuance and created with strong yet sensitive women in mind.

NADIA MANZATO

Born in the North of Italy, Nadia grew up dreaming – and also drawing – her personal collections of super fashion garments.  She graduated in Fashion Design at the Politecnico of  Milano and worked as a copy editor for fashion magazines and finally she kicked off her own bridal brand Nadia Manzato in her studio in Busto Arsizio, where she works closely with her mum.  Whenever she is not drawing or creating her dresses, it is likely she is listening to music or reading Gabriel Garcìa Marquez, clearly with a nice cup of tea (or chocolate) by her side.
