Meet The Designers
FABIENNE ALAGAMA
Originally from Le Reunion and landed in the French capital 20 years ago to study Fashion Design, Fabienne, a passionate dress maker since she was a teenager, gained experience with two Haute Couture stylists and then turned to the world of wedding dresses without never leaving it. Her style, conveyed through her creations, is that of an accomplished, free and independent woman. She founded her brand Maison Fabienne Alagama in 2008 with headquarters in Paris and boutiques throughout Europe, including in Italy exclusively at Merry Me.
CARLA JENKINS
The Made With Love story started when Carla's husband Josh proposed to her in 2013. She began her own wedding dress search and couldn’t find the perfect one, so she started doing her own research and, almost unintentionally, she completed her first collection, Made With Love, in June 2013. A mother of two, she is also Creative Director of jewellery brand The Adore and her powerful vision has carved the way for a modern, inclusive and down to earth experience for all brides.
Graduated and specialized in Fashion, Textile and Haute Couture design between Budapest and Paris, Anita founded Daalarna Couture in 2002. After 11 successful years on the Hungarian market, she introduced the brand internationally. A mother of three, Anita was awarded as Glamour Women of the Year 2013 in the category "Best Fashion Designer" and she has chosen Merry Me as her only stockist in Italy.
ANITA BENES
CAROLINA OTADUY
Born in San Sebastian, Carolina travelled around the world and lived in New York, where in a summer night on a rooftop bar she came up with the idea to launch her own bridal fashion firm. She launched Otaduy in 2011, after studying advertising and working for an indie music producer for years. She loves music, surfing and yoga, nature and the beating hearts of cities, and her designs, like her, are full of nuance and created with strong yet sensitive women in mind.
NADIA MANZATO
Born in the North of Italy, Nadia grew up dreaming – and also drawing – her personal collections of super fashion garments. She graduated in Fashion Design at the Politecnico of Milano and worked as a copy editor for fashion magazines and finally she kicked off her own bridal brand Nadia Manzato in her studio in Busto Arsizio, where she works closely with her mum. Whenever she is not drawing or creating her dresses, it is likely she is listening to music or reading Gabriel Garcìa Marquez, clearly with a nice cup of tea (or chocolate) by her side.
LAURE DE SAGAZAN
Graduated in Fashion Design, Laure is one of the main exponents of the New Wave of French wedding fashion. Created in 2011, the Laure de Sagazan brand quickly established its deceptively casual silhouettes on the wedding dress scene. Deeply in love with bygone eras, her clothes flirt with retro resulting in looks that are sober, fuzzy, extraordinarily fine and whose elegance is underlined with poetry. Artisanal creations 100% made in Paris, tailor-made in the laboratory-showroom of the 10th arrondissement.
